The Closet Carousel Co is a buy and sell second hand marketplace, offering individuals the opportunity to recycle their high-quality garments, earn money, and contribute to a more sustainable world. Please review these terms and conditions carefully before using our services.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:

By using the services provided by The Closet Carousel Co., you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.

Quality and Suitability of Items:

• The Closet Carousel Co. accepts only clean and undamaged clothing and accessories for sale at our store. We reserve the right to reject and remove any items that we deem unsuitable for sale.
• The seller agrees to follow the terms and conditions set by The Closet Carousel Co. The Closet Carousel Co. reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

Charges and Payment of Proceeds:

• Sales and commission rates are detailed on our website and are subject to change.
• Selling enquiries can be made online, via email or our social media channels.
• Listings are free, and we charge a percentage commission on all items sold.
• The proceeds of sales, less commission, are paid to the seller's bank account after the buyer receives their item.

Selling Self-Service:

• To sell your items, download our "Carousel Catalogue Listing Form" from our website and fill in your details, and the details for each item. For example - brand, size, description, condition (rated out of 10) and sell price.
• Photograph each item individually (refer to our FAQs for tips) with a minimum of 2 images per item.
• Email the listing form and photographs to us at hello@theclosetcarousel.com.au, we will create the listings for you. 
• Once the item sells, we will email you the buyer's details for postage. Send us the tracking details so we can notify the buyer.
• Ensure that all items are cleaned and pressed/steamed before you send them to the buyer. 
• Once the buyer receives their item, payment will be deposited to your account within 3 business days, less our commission fee.

Selling Concierge Service:

Our "Concierge Service" caters to those who are short on time. For an additional fee, we can arrange for pick up of up to 20 items (including accessories and shoes) within Metro Melbourne. We will complete all the photography and admin, create listings for each item and take care of postage when the item sells. All items must be delivered in immaculate condition, any item that is stained or damaged will not be listed. Should we need to return your items to you, we can do so or they can be collected from our warehouse.

In cases where you haven’t provided us with an indication of prices, we will make our best effort to price your items, and you will be provided an opportunity to review the pricing prior to being listed. If no adjustments are provided within 12 hours of notification, it's understood that you agree to the pricing entered.

Unsold Items:

All listings have a lifespan of 8 weeks. If items are unsold during this time, you may cancel the listing, renew the listing at a reduced price, or have any unsold items returned to you. Each listing is entitled two price changes during the listing period.

General:

• The Closet Carousel Co. will make every effort to promote your listing on our website and various social media channels.
• Selling goods that do not belong to you or stolen goods is prohibited. The seller guarantees that they have the right to sell the items. Selling counterfeit products is also prohibited, and any offenses will be reported to the police.
• The Closet Carousel retains the right to use images and videos of the items to promote the store on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and our website.
• Sellers agree that they will notify The Closet Carousel Co. as soon as possible if the item becomes no longer available.
